Big fat hairy news!!! Hieronymous Anonymous issues 1&2 were reviewed on comics uber-site Newsarama!!! What was the verdict?! Best thing since Watchmen...? A highpoint of the comicbook artform...? Er... not quite. If you so wish, you may click here to read the Newsarama review while The Puppy stares at the ever-growingly tempting box of sleeping pills by his bedside.

In other (overdue) news, UK Web & Mini Comix Thing 2007 proved to be a very pleasant day out. The Puppy enjoyed its first convention, and didn't do too bad in terms of sales. Also, it was great to meet other creators, especially the lovely chaps at Portent Comics, who have a wide range of genuinely high quality U.S formatted comicbooks for your enjoyment. Also, The Puppy would like to give a big shout out to the ambitious Murky Depths hybrid magazine undertaking, which promises to be an excellent U.K based horror/sci-fi anthology.

Okay... we finally have ourselves a BRAND SPANKING NEW EDITION OF HIERONYMOUS ANONYMOUS!!! This time it comes via the presses of Ka-blam (who are very good), and is now on sale at Indy Planet. A preview of issue #2 is here at last.

Also for the first time in history, you can now buy Hieronymous Anonymous comics from Sick Puppy Studios direct, which you have to agree is frickin' amazing! Check the Buy page for this incredible option (which is probably of greatest benefit to European customers, with shipping costs and the like).

And don't forget, the Official Sick Puppy Studios Online Store has a whole host of new and exciting items that would surely enhance the social standing of anyone with enough taste to partake.

And finally, congratulations to Little Barry Peppersnore of Slutbury, England, who became the 2 millionth purchaser of Hieronymous Anonymous issue #1! For this feat, Little Barry wins himself a 1/4 litre of the author's saliva. Well done lil' buddy!!!!

It seems that we are close to Christmas (I think this year, it falls on the 25th of this month), and as we know, Christmas is an exciting time; a time when around 2000 years ago, The Lord fathered a boy with a betrothed woman, and gave the world the baby Jesus! And what a cute baby he was; eyes like Mummy, ears and hair like Daddy. And now The Lord has seen fit to give us the Nintendo Wii, which is also worth celebrating, so happy Christmas to those with a Nintendo Wii, Sick Puppy Studios loves you!!!

A recent event even more exciting than Christmas; Hieronymous Anonymous #1 got its first major review at Silver Bullet Comics! On the front page as well, so it was... How interesting!

More news! Sick Puppy Towers recently received the proof copy of Hieronymous Anonymous #2! Brilliant though it was, The Puppy's razor-sharp eyes detected small font flaws in the lettering (disappearing punctuation, font substitutions etc). And while other, lesser companies would say "Who cares! Screw the flaws, it's good enough! Let's put this baby out and get ourselves an Eisner!", The Sick Puppy says "NO! I (cough) DEMAND PERFECTION!!! Thus the new book has a slight delay...

Well whaddaya know?! In a highly surprising development, Hieronymous Anonymous has cheekily got himself a Myspace page!!! Have a look, and callously laugh at how few friends he has!

Wooorrrd!!!

Oh dear! A little slack in updating... naughty Puppy! Nevertheless, there is cause to celebrate; Hieronymous Anonymous #2 is complete and at the printers (a preview will be forthcoming).

Also, in March next year, the mighty Sick Puppy Studios is due to make its first convention appearance at the UK Web & Mini Comix Thing 2007, to be held in Mile End, East London. The Puppy is panting (and coughing/spluttering) with excitement!

If that wasn't enough; available to buy now, is Official Sick Puppy Studios Merchandise! So far this includes a Hieronymous Anonymous Mug (for drinking liquids), and an official SPS Long-Sleeved T-Shirt (for wearing on bodies). More wonders will be available soon to purchase and treasure for all time... I can smell the anticipation!

So, a new completed comic, a convention appearance, and a wad of merchandise... How's that for a freakin' update!!! Dayyuum!!!

Oooh yeah! Hieronymous Anonymous #1 (preview here) was added to the comiXpress online store this month, which is something The Puppy is very happy about. Not only that, but the decent chaps at Forbidden Planet International have agreed to sell the comic as well, as part of this being July's British Comic Month, which is a push supporting the small publishing scene here in good Ol' Blighty. Very nice indeed! So if you fancy something different, be sure to take a peek at what's bubbling on these fair shores.
